Want a meaningful way to meet someone new?

Give back with Moon as we volunteer at the Muslim Community Network's Interfaith Soup Kitchen on Christmas Eve! We're gathering a group of 14 to prepare, cook, and serve hot halal meals to community members in need at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Group dinner to follow.

Important Info:
  1. To volunteer, you must register free via Eventbrite. You'll receive two confirmation emails: one from Eventbrite.com immediately and one from the staff of Muslim Community Network (MCN) 1 week before service. If you do not eventually receive this second email from MCN, then you have not yet been scheduled to volunteer (pls contact [email protected] if this is the case).
  2. If you wish to bring a friend/guest, they must also register. Anyone who shows up without doing so will unfortunately not be allowed to participate. Should we reach capacity, you may sign up for the waitlist.
  3. If you register but become unable to make it, please contact [email protected] ASAP. This way, we can open your spot to the next person on our waitlist and guarantee smooth kitchen service.

Can’t join us this time, but still want to do good? Sponsor meals at the MCN Interfaith Soup Kitchen for less than a MetroCard swipe (really, $1.60/meal!). You can contribute 5 meals at $8.00, 10 meals at $16.00, 20 meals at $32.00, or much more - the choice is yours! Click here to donate now.

FAQsWhy a volunteering event? Aside from volunteering being a reward all on its own, it's also an excellent way to get to know someone new. It gives you the chance to more organically show someone how helpful and caring you are, and its perfect for you to see the same in someone else.Who should attend? Anyone who is single, identifies as Muslim, and is game to volunteer! What will the ratio of ladies to gentlemen be? While we cannot guarantee who signs up, we’re making our best efforts to get as even a split as possible. Is there a ticket fee? Nope, just reserve your spot (or join the waitlist) and be prepared to volunteer your time.Say more about dinner. After volunteer service, we’ll head somewhere cozy for group dinner. If you can’t join, no problem - but, if you can, we promise it’ll be a merry evening. Dinner will be at each participants’ own expense.I can't make it but would like to join the dinner. Can I? Shoot an email over to [email protected].
