Woven Histories: Rugs around the World + Bookmark making workshop

Join Glensheen and The Duluth Fiber Guild for an evening exploring the history, artistry, and craftsmanship of rugs. Guests will learn how rugs evolved from practical household necessities into treasured works of art, discover how rugs are woven and constructed, and examine three significant rugs from Glensheen’s collection.
Following the presentation, participants will create their own woven bookmark inspired by traditional weaving techniques and enjoy learning a new skill with guidance from members of The Duluth Fiber Guild.
When: July 27th, 5:30pm-8:00pm

Admission is $10 for members, $15 for non-members.
