About this Event

Poets have often reminded us that in the human experience, joy and sorrow are often deeply intertwined. For many of us humans, the world inspires grief, sadness, rage, and distress every day. We’ll take a look at the impact of our current society on the lives of (some) transgender people, and how we can all engage in rebellious and profoundly human acts of grief and transcendent joy.

KC Slack (they/them) is the Senior Clergy Leader at the Washington Ethical Society. In their life and work, they seek to question categories, build more beautiful futures, and support the full flourishing and aliveness of all. They spend most of their time somewhere in between, love liminal spaces, and encourage all of us to do weird art about it, whatever “it” is.
