For all fans of the Glaswegian Jazz scene!!! 360 surround sound show!
Scottish drummer and composer Graham Costello creates minimalist music that ranges from ambient and post-rock, to jazz improvisation. With his band STRATA, he has been nominated for Scottish Album of the Year and eight Scottish Jazz Awards.
After the widely-praised debut album 'Obelisk' in 2019, Costello signed to Gearbox Records (Binker and Moses, Abduallah Ibrahim, Theon Cross, Sarathy Korwar). In May 2021, he released his follow-up album 'Second Lives' to critical acclaim, with top UK jazz publication Jazzwise naming it one of the “Best Jazz Albums of the 2021...
We welcome back this outstanding group of young, very exciting and increasingly recognised musicians to perform a special in-the-round show that features a state-of-the-art 360 'soundscape' soundsystem from D&B audio in Dare Shack - the only venue space in town to have this mad new technology installed.
Graham is a powerful and technically impressive drummer who has real versatility, and a calm yet serious approach to his craft...
He is joined by Mercury nominated Fergus McCreadie, Harry Weir (corto.alto / Rebecca vasmant ensemble), Gus Stirrat on Bass and Joe Williamson on guitar. An extra tasty lineup of musicians for sure!
This show is standing and is just 200 capacity... Join us for an intimate and immersive journey into 360 degrees of sound with some of Scotand's best musicians!
