'TC & The Groove Family' ft Franz Von:
Launching their debut album 'First Home' (incoming on 'Worm Discs' June 10th) will be the mighty force that is ten- piece tornado: TC & The Groove Family, alongside extra guest Franz Von!
They will be smashing the rhythms, the grooves, the basslines, the horn-lines, the raps, the hype, the scratches & the faces off'ya with their well executed stylistic mash and huge energy. The album is so so goo. (Yes we are a little biased ?- These guys live are mad!
Exclusive advance copies of the vinyl will be available to those in attendance, but yeah, a perfect band for a bank-holiday really!
'Heritage' - Bristol debut:
Warming up for TC and opening proceedings on the night will be another ten-piece band from Leeds that we are really loving: Heritage.
These guys are a bunch of smooth operators... Having got together on the Jazz course at Leeds Conservatoire, they graduated last year and behold a sound and maturity that belies their years. Blending and melting grooves n' melodies at crossroads of soul, jazz and funk, and finished off with excellent vocals from a trio of singers, these guys are ones to watch!
'Mxtias':
Following on from the bands we have two DJ sets. The first one is from Matias of Moma Cat Discos. Matias is a top geezer, top DJ, Leeds man about town, label boss and promoter. He’s the head of ‘Moma Cat Discos’, helping nurture and bring through bands such as Plantfood and also Heritage. As a promoter he as hosted shows with Snazzback, Wonky Logic and under the guise of his new party ‘Bazooka’ has also recently hosted the likes of Papaoul and Bushbby and Sam Interface. Expect a mash of rhythmic badness and bass!
'NikNak':
NikNak will be closing out the evenings proceedings. NikNak will be recognisable as part of the TC fam. While adding FX and scratching as the turntabllist in their sonic soup, as a solo artist and DJ she’s been making moves over the last while. She’s a member of the ‘Eve's Drop’ DJ Collective and listed as one of DJ-Mag’s “Ones To Watch in 2022”, NikNak continues to build upon her vast DJ-ing experience having blown audiences away with her eclectic DJ sets at festivals like Wilderness, We Out Here, Leeds International Festival, Bestival and more and is the perfect selector to close out this bank holiday worm party!

So, this one is a two band followed by two DJ set event. Bands will be on 8-11, DJs 11- 2. We've decided to finish this one a little earlier than a normal clubnight, as we all will have lots more people and party happenings on the Friday & Saturday for sure, but this is definitely a PARTY day! We return to Lost Horizon where we have had some wonderful events recently. ?
As ever, please understand that any untoward or creepy behaviour towards members of our crowd will not be tolerated as we like nice decent respectful worms only at our events. Party safe and be safe innit! ??
