Doors at 6 pm, show at 7 pm‘Denise, We Hardly Knew You' is episode 46 of World Wide Magazine from 1989. It is WWM creator Pete Parisi's love letter to his ex-girlfriend Denise, who he loved to poke fun at on his show for the first few years of its 15 year run.
"This show is real life. No one wrote a script. The man and the woman are not actors. They met in St. Louis. They fell in love. They moved in together, into an apartment on Arsenal Street. It didn't work out. They're breaking up.
Again, this happens all the time. You can drive down any street in town and there are people having problems, people falling out of love.
Except again, this time it's different. This time, the man videotaped it all. Good times. Bad times. The woman cleaning house. The woman shopping. The woman blowing him a kiss from a parked car. The woman calling him names.
Then he did more.
He played it on a cable channel so that anyone in the city with a wired house, flipping through the channels, could come across it, on the way from MTV to the Home Shopping Network."
