Plant a seed, in every beautiful corner of the world! This summer, school age children and their families are invited to join our weekly World Wednesday program from 6/10 to 8/5. Each week we will go on an adventure to a different part of the world through craft, performance, or activity. This is the perfect opportunity to explore and celebrate the diverse world cultures!
The Chinese lion dance is a 5,000-year-old celebratory tradition performed at festivals and events to bring good luck and prosperity. Today, in celebration of the first week of our Summer Reading Program, the well-loved West High Trojans Lion Dance Group from the Asian Student Union will bring us a lively and spirited lion dance performance filled with energy and courage! After the show, participants will have the opportunity to wear our own lion dance costumes and try out some basic and fun steps of lion dance guided by the dancers!
