Enjoy an evening of culture, movement, music, and tradition as World Trekkers returns to the Houston Museum of Natural Science!

Experience the elegance of traditional Chinese fashion with a Hanfu clothing showcase presented by the Houston Hanfu Association, and let the enchanting sounds of traditional Chinese instruments, performed by Mr. Jim Ji, qín master, composer, and violinist, wash over you. Looking to kick up the energy? Don’t miss the Kung Fu demonstration and Lion Dance led by Grand Master Shi from the Houston Kung Fu Academy.
Throughout the evening, guests can explore the museum's ground floor, participate in hands-on activities, and experience elements of Chinese culture through vibrant performances, demonstrations, and crafts. Visit our craft station to create your own take-home project, or join the animal encounter hosted by the Youth Education Department.
No cultural journey is complete without tasting traditional flavors! Be sure to grab a small sample of Chinese cuisine before returning to explore more performances and activities.
Don't miss out! Bring the whole family to World Trekkers: China and experience an exciting celebration of Chinese culture without leaving the museum!
Only first-level exhibits will be open: Glassell Hall, Matter & Motion, and the Morian Hall of Paleontology.
