The feature documentary, Leaving Beringiahe, will have its world premiere at the 2026 Victoria Film Festival on February 10. Directed by Barbara Todd Hager, the documentary follows her search to find her Cree ancestors’ origins. She travels to eight of the oldest Indigenous sites in the Americas in search of a connection between Indigenous origin stories and archaeology.
