Come along and be part of world pinhole day by taking a self portrait using nothing other than a small hole in an aluminium can!
About this Event

Discover the fascination of pinhole photography by making a unique portrait of yourself, taken inside St Pauls Darkrooms using a drinks can made into a pinhole camera. This is a drop-in workshop and the whole process will take 20 minutes or so to make room for other people. As darkroom numbers are limited, you may need to wait (and explore some camera obscuras) before places becomes available.

This event is part of World Pinhole Day, when people all around the globe are encouraged to take photos using pinhole cameras. Y ou can submit your image onto the Pinholeday website (www.pinholeday.org) and be part of a worldwide gallery of pinhole photography taken on this day.

Admission is free but donations are welcome which will help with saving the community darkrooms at St Pauls Learning Centre.

All children to be accompanied by adults.

The process mau involve electronic flash guns being set off a few inches from your face. Completely harmless (but a bit weird!)

Pinholeday is a free worldwide event now in its 23rd year designed to enable people to explore the wonder of light creating an image through a small hole, organised by a handful of rapidly ageing volunteers who like the idea of sharing accessible wonder to all.
