World of Wine Tasting: Piedmont, Italy with Podere Ruggeri Corsini

Italian wine has more personalities than you can count.
One bottle is brooding and demanding, the next easy-going and generous, another sweet and contemplative. Every village has a favourite grape, every family a story, every region a rivalry. It’s a patchwork of grapes, regions, and traditions that makes Italy endlessly worth exploring.
This October we’ll be exploring the Piedmont wine region with the winemaker Vittoria from Podere Ruggere Corsini.
Piedmont is home to some of Italy’s finest wines, including the legendary Barolo. Located in the north-west it sits at the foot of the Western Alps, which gives Piedmont the meaning of ‘the foot of the mountains’.
About the Winemaker
Loredana Addari and Nicola Argamante decided they'd enough of their jobs in the city, so they packed it all in, studied winemaking and bought a tiny vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. They upgraded the traditional estate into an eco-friendly haven by adopting lighter bottles, handpicking, solar panels and natural waste water purification, and by massively reducing the use of chemical treatments and sulphur.
What to expect
At this two-hour tasting, we’ll take you through the icons, the rebels, and the hidden gems of Piedmont, from the fresh and fruity Dolcetto to the brooding Barolo.
Winemaker Vittoria and our wine team will be your guides, pouring six incredible wines, including a welcome drink, sharing stories of the vineyard, the unique terroir, and the traditions that make these Piedmont wines so iconic. So whether you’re a die-hard Barolo lover or just looking to expand your horizons beyond supermarket shelves, this event is for you.
