About this Event
World of Bees Morning Tea
This World Bee Day, we are coming together to celebrate the wonderful world of honey bees through the eyes of artisans, makers and scientists who are inspired by them.
Ticket includes tea, coffee and a selection of morning tea items made to celebrate locally produced honeys.
This is not your average bee gathering: dip your toes into the honeybee’s world of wonder via stories from the people who work with them. Our special morning tea event will have us in conversation with Dr Diana Leemon, who will share some of the lessons she has learned through her bee research, industry advocacy and time spent with these magnificent creatures.
In conjunction with the Wheen Bee Foundation’s Great Bee Morning Tea, 100% of ticket prices will be donated to help continue funding the foundation’s critical work supporting the health and longevity of pollinators and pollination-reliant crops and ecosystems https://www.wheenbeefoundation.org.au/our-work/events/the-great-bee-morning-tea/
Whether you attend the official morning tea event, or pop in anytime until 2pm, you’ll have many opportunities to discover the magic contained + created inside of the bee hive. Additional opportunities to support the work of the Wheen Bee foundation available on the day.
Interactive displays, take-home recipe cards, make your own candles, Honey Flow Gallery, lucky door prizes + more
