In partnership with Iowa Ceramics Center & Glass Studio (ICCGS), we will host a workshop to create your own personal finger labyrinth at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha). First, Leslie Wright will talk about the significance of labyrinths. Then an instructor from ICCGS will walk you through creating your very own labyrinth with slabs of wet clay by designing and carving a unique path for your finger to trace. You can add color using special ceramic glazes and add your own finishing touches. ICCGS will fire the projects in their kilns so they are ready for pick up beginning May 28 at Prairiewoods. Finished labyrinths will measure approximately ten-inch squares, perfect for your desk or table. The cost of this hands-on workshop is $40. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at www.Prairiewoods.org or 319-395-6700.
