About this Event
About the Talk

Doors open at 5:30, and the presentation will start at 6:00. Food and beverages will be provided.

How can we design experiences that connect intent to action, meaning to understanding, and curiosity to awareness? Where does the disconnect happen? The answer lies in each story we tell, through each experience or product we design, and every mission we set forth on.

To make positive change through design, we need to bridge the gap between what we want from the audience and what they want from the experience. This bridge manifests through storytelling, and how we do it effectively is often out of balance.

The Golden Trinity of Storytelling: the key to conscious design distills storytelling into three core elements. Understanding each one and their relationship to each other engages, connects, and transforms an audience, and ultimately the world.

By highlighting patterns of the triad throughout human history, the Golden Trinity of Storytelling illustrates the totality of conscious design, and invites attendees to apply this method to their own work. This presentation challenges designers, entrepreneurs, and other storytellers to consider the aspects that create an authentic and lasting connection with your audience to your story, mission, or product.

After this event, you will internalize and integrate three key concepts:

  • how to define the connection between the product and the impact it has on society,
  • where to find opportunities to create intrigue and active understanding from your audience,
  • and how to meet your audience where they are through your content.
