The theme for World Environment Day 2023 is "Beat Plastic Pollution." Plastic is choking our earth. It is time to alter how we make, use, and discard plastic. The purpose of World Environment Day is to reinforce the strategic vision for combating plastic pollution worldwide.As a part of the celebration, the Center for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER), BRAC University, BRAC University will organize a day-long event supported by Lankan Alliance Finance Limited. Inter-University Photography Exhibition, Inter-University Poster Presentation Competition, Inter-University Case Competition will be the event's main attractions. C3ER cordially invites everyone to participate in the event on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the University Auditorium, Building: 01, BRAC University, from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm. The event's focus is "Reuse, Recycle, and Reorient and diversify – and actions to deal with the legacy of plastic pollution."
Students from different universities are highly encouraged to participate, which would make them think broadly about the growing need to solve complex environmental issues.
