How will melting glaciers reshape our planet’s water future?On 18–19 March 2026, UNESCO invites you to mark the World Day for Glaciers and World Water Day 2026 with two days of dialogue, scientific exchange and action at UNESCO Headquarters. Held within the framework of the Decade of Action for Cryospheric Sciences (2025–2034), the events will highlight the accelerating loss of glaciers and its far-reaching impacts on ecosystems, water security and communities worldwide.
Join scientists, policymakers, artists and partners to explore solutions at the crossroads of climate science, international cooperation and culture.
