A first-of-its-kind touring festival celebrating all that ballet has to offer is coming to San Diego!
Over the course of the weekend, the audience will get to see the most celebrated ballet stars from around the country and the world performing three diverse and exciting programs, encompassing a range of ballets from romantic, dramatic, comic and everything in between.
Friday: Day 1 - Opening Gala. A mixed repertoire program will feature a World Premiere and brings together some of the greatest talents, presenting a show stopping program of ballet’s best.
Saturday: Day 2 - Ballet Blockbusters. See all must-see classics at once, from Little Swans to the Balcony Scene of Romeo and Juliet, from ephemeral Dying Swan to the fiery Carmen solo.
Sunday: Day 3 - Closing Gala. A dazzling array of ballet programming from beloved classics to today's most exciting new works, a presentation of the best of the class in the San Diego ballet scene, and the special grand finale featuring a surprise guest star.
These programs will showcase the finest moments in ballet history, featuring spectacular performances of renowned ballets, such as Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Giselle, Nutcracker, Cinderella, Romeo & Juliet, Carmen, as well as the newest innovations of today's most exciting choreographers performed by Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia (New York City Ballet), Kate Inoue, Aviva Gefler-Mundl and Marcos Ramirez (Los Angeles Ballet), Rasmus Ahlgren (Boston Ballet), Ekaterina Malkovich and Constantine Geronik (World Ballet Company) and many more.
