About this Event
Workshop: Women’s Representation in UNTOLD: The Museum
Come and join a conversation about women’s representation in the new museum, UNTOLD: Stories of the Irish in the British Army. We’d love to invite you to join us if you have any of the following experience:
1. Women from all three Services who served at any time period in the UK Armed Forces (you do not have to have served during Op BANNER)
2. Women who were the family members (siblings, parents, grandparents) of someone who served
3. Women who were MOD civil servants
We are holding workshops in partnership with Dr Hannah West (from the Centre for Military Women’s Research, Anglia Ruskin University) to facilitate cross-community co-design to ensure women’s voices form part of an inclusive shared heritage. Workshops will be inspired by artefacts from the archives to stimulate conversation and those who take part will be encouraged to join in some relaxed and fun activities to visualise what they would like to see in the future museum. There will be an opportunity to review museum designs including plans for future programming. We’d love for you to be a part of the conversation.
Wine and nibbles provided!
