We live in a unique place where the built and natural environment compete and compliment each other and where the subject for painting can be found all around us. I will help you construct a painting of the intimate and public places you know with reference to your photos and contemporary artists working in this genre.
I will provide tips on how to structure a composition with correct proportion and perspective, with demonstrations on colour mixing, structuring paint layers and capturing the fleeting effects of light.
NOTE: Please bring several photographic images of a local subject you wish to paint.
