The amazing forró teachers Icaro and Giovanna are coming to Brussels to teach us a whole afternoon of forró!

We will soon bring you the exact time and content of the workshops . As usual there will be an open level, intermediate and advanced workshop.

Iniciaram sua parceria em 2022, ministrando aula juntos em algumas cidades como Itaúnas, Brasília, Salvador, Petrolina, Rio de Janeiro e outras, além de terem sido Campeões do l Torneio de Forró realizado pelo Buraco do Tatu em Itaúnas, em 2022.
Giovanna iniciou sua trajetória no forró em 2018 pela Escola Forrozin, de estilo universitário, em Salvador, ja se tornando instrutora da mesma por alguns meses, antes de sair para se dedicar ao estilo Roots, onde vem se aprimorando desde então.
Já Icaro, começou sua trajetória em 2009 nos bailes de forró e após alguns anos ingressou como aluno na instituição Pé Descalço em 2013, onde passou por todas as etapas da escola (grupo de apresentação, examinador e professor). Em janeiro de 2020 ele se desliga da instituição e começa um projeto solo, dando aulas com o foco no aspecto cultural do forró. Dentro dessa proposta ele engloba vários estilos, entre eles, o universitário e o roots.
Essa parceria tem como proposta levar o Forró e os aspectos culturais que o englobam ao maior número de pessoas possível, trabalhando sempre com a ideia da dança como um diálogo com autonomia e responsabilidade de ambas as vozes.

She is from Salvador (Bahia), he is from Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais).
They began their partnership in 2022, teaching classes together in some cities such as Itaúnas, Brasília, Salvador, Petrolina, Rio de Janeiro and othere, in addition to being Champions of the l Torneio de Forró held by Buraco do Tatu in Itaúnas, in 2022.
Giovanna began her forró career in 2018 at the university-style Forrozin School in Salvador, becoming an instructor there for a few months, before leaving to dedicate herself to the Roots style, where she has been improving ever since.
Icaro, on the other hand, began his career in 2009 at forró dances and after a few years he joined the Pé Descalço institution as a student in 2013, where he went through all stages of the school (presentation group, examiner and teacher). In January 2020, he left the institution and began a solo project, teaching classes focusing on the cultural aspect of forró. Within this proposal it encompasses several styles, including university and roots.
This partnership aims to bring Forró and the cultural aspects that encompass it to as many people as possible, always working with the idea of dance as a dialogue with autonomy and responsibility for both voices.
