Sound Artist Stefan Tiefengraber discusses his performance DOWM and offers tips for how to breathe new life into retired sonic tools.
About this Event

Three walkmans, three effect pedals, two mixers, a mini-synthesizer, microphones and several feedback loops create a noise-scape that ends in silence and emptiness. In this workshop, Stefan Tiefengraber extends the predefined functions of the used devices (after their end) through experimentation and unconventional applications. In this way he achieves new and unpredictable results. Workshops are free, all-ages, registration encouraged but not required.

Hirshhorn Museum, Outdoor Plaza

This workshop is a part of Sound Scene Fest 2023 "After the End.". For a full schedule of interactive audio installations, workshops and performances visit www.soundscenefest.org

Stefan Tiefengraber lives and works in Linz, Austria. After six years of working for a TV and film production company he moved to Linz in 2010 to study at the University of Art and Design Linz.
