IndianCare and GenWest invite you to Workshop UNITE.
With Workshop UNITE we endeavor to work towards enhancing and strengthening prevention, early intervention and response for individuals from multicultural communities seeking family violence support. It is only possible through working together and working collaboratively.
Workshop UNITE aims to facilitate collaborative learning, ideas exchange, and skills-building to strengthen the capacity of Victorian multicultural community organizations and specialist family violence services to work together to provide culturally safe, responsive and tailored support to victim survivors.
South Asian communities deal with specific issues like forced marriages, intergenerational relationships, strong patriarchy, and immigration-related threats, that requires a nuanced understanding. Workshop UNITE aims to promote culturally sensitive responses to family violence, whilst acknowledging unique challenges in South Asian communities.
Expert Sessions facilitated in collaboration with inTouch, Kulturbrille and GenWest.
