In this time of civilizational transition, we are realizing that the stories that built our world can’t get us to the future we want. The Hero’s Journey — modernity’s hyper-individualist “monomyth” — is one such story. It is no longer fit to guide our moral, spiritual, or psycho-emotional maturation as individuals or a species.
The Kinship Journey is a new & ancient developmental narrative that resituates personal healing, growth and maturation in relationship with the animate fabric of a living world. It begin with the recognition that disconnection (from nature, the soul, other people, and meaning itself) is the root of one’s suffering. From here, the initiate undertakes a journey of reckoning, remembrance, repair, and reweaving of place and purpose in within the Soul Ecology.
Contrary to the Hero’s Journey of individualism, conquest and self-actualization, the Kinship Journey emphasizes interdependence, embodiment, humility, service to specific beings or forces of nature, and ongoing participation in a larger wholeness. Rather than being a discrete journey ending in victory, it is a life-path, a way of aligning one’s identity, creativity, and care with the Infinite Game of Life itself.
This is not a journey you can undertake alone. It is a journey we support each other through — in human and more-than-human community.
Many on the healing path are already on this journey. Many who care for land, seeds, soil, children, consciousness, embodiment, the feminine, and for a regenerative, biodiverse and beautiful future, are already on this journey. But, you may not have had words to describe it.
Language is power. And language married to practice is the beginning of emergent culture.
So, please join Samantha Sweetwater as we learn and live into the Kinship Journey together, creating foundations for a culture of homecoming to our Earth.
Expect a blend of teaching, embodied exploration, and council.
About Samantha: wisdom teacher, Gaian philosopher, and the founder of One Life Circle, Dancing Freedom, and Peacebody Japan. For over three decades she has helped thousands across the world navigate personal and collective transformation, weaving somatic, ecological, systemic, and spiritual intelligence. Her work is dedicated to the emergence of a planetary culture of homecoming that hums in harmony with Life's Song.
True Human: Reimagining Ourselves at the End of Our World is a companion through collapse and emergence. It addresses the fundamental misalignment between flourishing Life and a system built on dominion, extraction, and unmitigated progress. It invites the reader on a kinship journey of personal and collective reckoning, remembrance, and maturation where we embrace our place within the earth's ecology as a custodial species.
Whether you've read the book or are encountering this work for the first time, you'll leave with practices to embody, community to hold you, and renewed courage for the journey ahead.
Price: 440,- (including a nourishing lunch).
