About this Event
The World Bank, an international development agency financing sustainable development projects in emerging and developing countries, issued the first ‘labeled bond’ in 2008 — a Green Bond for Scandinavian investors. This workshop will cover how that first green bond catalyzed a development in the bond markets where bond investors consider sustainability with their investments, and explicitly integrate environmental, social and governance criteria as part of their investment process. It will also describe the evolution since then, with issuers and investors taking on a more holistic approach with sustainable bonds and will explain new products such as “outcome bonds”.
