An introduction to stand-up via improvisation. Learn how to turn your improv into stand-up comedy routines both on the page and stage. Take the fear out of taking the mic by recognising the strength of making it up on the spot. Through storytelling, observational comedy, and crowdwork, we'll turn improvisers into stand-ups.
ABOUT MARCEL
Marcel is a comedian, improviser, writer, and director. He has won awards for his work on-stage and behind-the-scenes. He has performed in every capital city in Australia as well as NZ, USA, and the UK.
Marcel performs alongside his wife in their improv duo, The Newlyweds. He has been teaching a range of performance styles since 2015. His specialties include improvisation and stand-up but also loves clowning, and character comedy. He has trained with Joe Bill, Dr Brown, Zach Zucker, Patti Styles, Andel Sudek, Steen Raskopoulos, and more.
Marcel is an in-demand director and has built several shows alongside a heap of talented folks including Lizzy Hoo, Steph Broadbridge, Ting Lim, and Eleanor Stankiewicz.
