Beginner Embroidery Workshop - Learn 6 essential stitches and create a floral tote in this fun, hands-on Social Club session!
About this Event

Join us in the Thread Bar at Uptown for the very first installment of our Social Club Workshop Series: Beginner Embroidery Class.

Get cozy, get creative, and learn the art of hand embroidery in this fun, hands-on session. You’ll stitch your way through a beautiful floral design on a reusable tote bag — and yes, you’ll take it home with you! Whether you’re completely new to embroidery or just looking to brush up on your skills, this workshop is the perfect place to start.

You’ll learn six essential stitches to bring your design to life:
Straight stitch, backstitch, stem stitch, French knot, daisy stitch, and satin stitch — the building blocks of so many gorgeous projects.

The workshop is led by Toni Dosouto, who has been stitching since she was just six years old. Over the years, she’s grown her love of embroidery into a full-blown fibre arts passion, exploring knitting, rug hooking, punch needle, felting, and wool appliqué.

Come for the stitching, stay for the laughs, and leave with a new skill (and a tote you’ll be proud to show off!).

The Thread Bar is an Uptown pop-up specializing in custom embroidery, located in Town Plaza between Meraki and Cascadia.
