Museum of Black Joy, in collaboration with Drexel Writers Room and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, presents a series of interactive workshops for all ages.
Workshops will reflect a multimedia approach to engaging both the permanent collection and the upcoming exhibition: The Time is Always Now, Artists Reframe the Black Figure.
Using collage, genre-expansive writing, visual poetry, creative journaling, and zine-making, participants will respond to prompts and activities that consider culturally specific themes of beauty, representation, self-expression, and mindfulness.
