Prompt engineering is the optimization of language model behavior through the process of structuring detailed instructions that can be interpreted by a generative AI model. It is a method of trial and error to refine prompts, improving accuracy of the answers generated by AI models.
A prompt can be complex for AI models to comprehend if the prompt is vague and imprecise resulting in a poor and undesired response.
To solve this, the essence of prompt engineering is to craft the right and detailed prompts which will not only get you the right results but also train these Large Language Models (LLMs).
To give a detailed overview on prompt engineering, IEEE North South University Student Branch is organizing a seminar for IEEE Day titled, “Prompt Engineering” on the Xth of October.
This seminar aims to highlight the different types of prompting techniques and its latest developments. It will also provide a new prospective career opportunity for engineering students as many tech giants are now in constant search of prompt engineers to craft and develop effective AI-driven solutions for business models.
