Workshop by IIT Bombay on Contract Law and Formal Contract Drafting
Almost all engineers have to work on or in relation to contracts at some point in their professional life. It is utmost necessary that all technocrats understand the basics of contract law and are able to understand the basics of preparing a contract document. They should also be able to assess whether the document has adequate provisions regarding procedure of resolution of disputes.
The proposed workshop on Saturday, 18th July 2026 aims to bridge this vital gap in the knowledge and skills of working engineers. It will cover key aspects of contract formation, enforceability, rights and obligations of parties, breach of contract, dispute resolution mechanisms, and important clauses commonly used in commercial and professional agreements.
