Get in the autumnal holiday spirit and learn TWO non-traditional pumpkin decorating techniques with Amanda Perna that you can use all season
About this Event

In this class you will learn two non-traditional (no carving mess here!) techniques and have opportunity to practice them and create finished pumpkins in the workshop. These techniques can be used on other pumpkins throughout the Halloween/Harvest season to be used for decorations, tablescapes, front door, and more. A fresh way to design your pumpkins this year!

First Technique: First you will learn how to create a stencil and work with paint techniques to make patterns and different designs on the pumpkin. A variety of paint colors will be provided to match any decor theme.

Second Technique: For your second pumpkin, you will learn how to create designs on your pumpkin using yarn, ribbon, and the magic of pins. Sewing pins will keep the ribbons and yarn in place as you create designs. This is a must-try!

What's provided:

- Two, 6 - 8inch pumpkins to create on during the workshop

- All materials for both techniques

- Soda or sparkling water included, spiked seltzers and beer for purchase ($6)!

So grab a friend or two, and get in the creative spirit!

About the artist:

Amanda Perna is a mom, wife & fashion expert who believes in looking beyond the easy road to follow your dreams. While studying fashion design at the university of Alabama, Amanda achieved her dream: a design internship at Oscar de la Renta and the following summer an internship at Calvin Klein.

With an entrepreneurial spirit, at the ripe old age of 19 she started her first fashion brand. Before graduating college, Amanda was offered a job at Calvin Klein, which she gladly accepted and finished her studies a semester ahead of schedule to start living her dream.

Always interested in learning and growing, Amanda furthered her studies at the fashion institute of technology while working as a full time fashion designer. Although she was working her dream job, Amanda wanted more; to own her own business. She wanted to create whimsical, bold clothing and accessories. Against the advice of everyone she knew, Amanda quit her job and started the House of Perna.
