Workshop Middeleeuws Botanisch Illustreren
Tijdens deze 2-daagse workshop, dompelen we onszelf onder in de wereld van de Middeleeuwse Botanische Illustraties. De lessen zijn op 2 zondagen op prachtige buitenlocaties en in mijn eigen atelier.

Op de eerste zondag starten we met een korte introductie over ‘Natuurtekenen’, ‘Botanische Illustraties’ en specifiek de middeleeuwse stijl. Je zult eigen Plantenstudies maken van de planten in de natuur, met uiteenlopende tekenmaterialen, schetsen, experimenteren en verschillende kleurencombinaties testen.
Op de tweede zondag transformeren we in mijn atelier onze veldstudies naar een Linosnede Ontwerp, waarmee we refereren naar de typische middeleeuwse houtsnedes. We printen op verschillende soorten papier. Na afloop van de workshop ga je naar huis met je studies en een set prints!
Je hebt geen teken- of grafische ervaring nodig om deze workshop te doen. We werken met een stap-voor-stap programma, afgestemd op de voorkeuren van de groep. Alles inclusief materialen. Je kunt inspiratie meenemen om mee te werken of om aan de groep te laten zien, maar het is helemaal prima als je dat niet doet.

During this 2-day workshop, we will enter the world of Medieval Botanical Illustrations. The lessons will be on two Sundays at beautiful outdoor locations and at my printmaking studio.
August:

On the first Sunday we will start with a short introduction about ‘Drawing from Nature’, ‘Botanical Illustration’ and specifically the medieval style. You will make Studies from the plants in your environment, with all sorts of drawing materials.
On the second Sunday at my studio, we will transform our field studies into a Blockprint Design, to resemble the typical medieval woodcut illustrations. We will print on different types of paper and make single-layer prints that you can later add colour to.
After the workshop you’ll go home with your studies and a set of prints!
You don’t need any drawing or printmaking experience to do this workshop, we will work with a step-by-step programme, tailored to the groups preferences. You can bring inspiration to work with or draw more outside of the lessons, but it is perfectly fine if you don’t.
