About this Event

Join Brooklyn-based artist Kelly Olshan in a workshop to make jewelry out of found objects and “artistic artifacts.” Participants will make a necklace or pair of earrings by repurposing art materials.

Attendees are invited to bring small, recycled objects from their home or studio. These “artistic artifacts” could include dried paint, used tape, broken sculpture pieces, yarn scraps, and/or any other materials you find interesting.

For those who chose not to bring their own, the artist will provide plenty of materials sourced from local artists’ studios which all are welcome to use.

Workshop participants will develop the following skills:

  • Basic metalworking/jewelry-making
  • A new method for reusing general household/art studio cast-offs that typically wind up in the trash
  • Deeper familiarity with the artistic process & materials they generate

Capacity is limited to 25. Register below to reserve your spot!
