How To Get Booked On The Road is hands-on comedy workshop led by touring comedian and educator Erik Escobar, designed for stand-up comedians and performers ready to take their careers beyond local mics and showcases. In this practical, strategy-driven session, Erik breaks down how to move from local shows to paid road work at comedy clubs, colleges, and one-nighters. Drawing from years of touring experience, he shares proven tips on securing bookings, building positive and effective relationships with bookers, marketing yourself effectively, maximizing income on the road, and avoiding common mistakes that cost comedians time and opportunities. This workshop is built to help performers save months—if not years—of trial and error and walk away with clear, actionable steps toward sustainable touring.
Instructor Bio:
Erik Escobar is a tour comedian performing at clubs, colleges, theaters, corporate events, cruises and more who you may have seen on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, FUSEtv’s Fresh Faces of Comedy, as the host of The Big Deal on LatiNation, his TED Talk, or the upcoming season of Hulu/Peacock’s Comedy InvAsian. He currently resides in Anaheim, California and loves theme parks, karaoke, and you!
