Ahh, the sweet smell of joy being totally sucked out of the room because of improv anxiety!
Nothing like trying to "get a format right" to put you up in your head and miss the fun in what you're doing onstage. "Get Out of Your Head in Longform!" is a unique workshop led by Laura Westman, an ontological creativity coach and crazy passionate improviser. Laura creates a shared container of vulnerability and support in this workshop.
Improvisers will be magically transported to a space where they can pause time, play around, become aware of their "automatic" impulses and practice making new choices in a super supportive, joy-oriented environment.
This workshop focuses on the inner work of an improviser to radiate confidence, joy and be an unbelievably supportive teammate.
Instructor: Laura Westman
About the Instructor: Laura Westman got her start improvising at Washington Improv Theater in 2009, where she served as a member of the faculty. Laura has since studied and played at the Magnet Theater, the PIT and Hudson Valley Improv. She is the author of How to Be Creative in the Age of Digital Noise, co-host of West of Wonderland Podcast, and host of The Creativity Broadcast on YouTube.
