WORKSHOP: Experimental Painted Landscapes with Dan Kyle

Work with artist Dan Kyle to paint experimental landscapes using natural materials. You will join Dan in his practice of using flowers to print directly onto artworks, picking up the textures of nature.

All materials provided. Suitable for adults and teenagers aged 15 years +.

About Entangled Grounds

Entangled Grounds brings together new works by Yandell Walton and Mar Serinyà, developed during residencies at BigCi on the edge of the Wollemi National Park and presented in partnership with Hawkesbury Regional Gallery.

The exhibition explores how artists can work with the land as an active collaborator rather than a subject. Yandell Walton’s Becoming With uses digitally generated environments shaped by environmental forces and nonhuman agency, while Mar Serinyà’s Back to the Beginning responds to place through elemental, land-based actions and performances. Together, the works reflect on cycles of change, interconnection and our place within the natural world.

Terms and conditions:

• SMILE! Gallery events may be photographed, and images used for promotional purposes on Council's websites, publications, social media or by newspapers.
• If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.
• If you are unable to attend, please cancel your tickets as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate in the program.
• Do not attend the event if you are feeling unwell.
• Paid tickets are not transferable.

Cancellation/refund polices paid tickets:

• To receive a full refund (minus an admin fee of session cost), please cancel your ticket or notify the gallery before 48 hours of the scheduled event. If less notice is given, a refund will not be issued.
• Refunds will not be given if participants change their mind, or simply forget to attend the event. For exceptional circumstances, refunds may be issued at the discretion of the Gallery Director.
• A refund can take up to 7 working days to process after the event date (due to bank transfer times). Cash payment refunds can take up to 6 weeks to process.
