Workshop - Experience the Joy of Felting - Inchicore Dublin - August Craft Month

As part of August Craft Month 2026, Feltmakers Ireland is delighted to host an Open Day in Inchicore, Co. Dublin. (A separate event will also take place in Boyle, Co. Roscommon – please see https://augustcraftmonth.org/acm-event/felting-fun-day/.)
Workshops
Join us on Sunday, the 16th of August, for an introduction to the art of feltmaking. Participants can choose to create either a simple wet-felted flower or a needle-felted flower in one of our hands-on workshops.
Two workshop sessions will be available:
Morning session: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Afternoon session: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
As we will be teaching groups of participants, workshops will begin promptly at the advertised times.
To reduce the amount of ‘no shows’ there is a small fee of 5 euros and places will need to be booked via our website: https://feltmakersireland.com/booking-page-feltmakers-ireland-august-craft-month-2026/
Other Activities

View a display showcasing the wonderful creative possibilities of feltmaking
Browse and purchase handcrafted felted artworks made by Feltmakers Ireland members
Explore a display of felted fibres from Irish-raised sheep
Learn more about Irish wool through our publication, Exploring Irish Wool for Feltmaking, which will be available to view and purchase
Whether you are curious about feltmaking, interested in Irish wool, or simply looking for a creative day out during August Craft Month, we look forward to welcoming you.
