Workshop: Deepen your Yin Yoga Practice - Regulation & Communication
Advertisement
-INTRO-
Yin Yoga can be a powerful way to support the nervous system and our ability to self-regulate. In this workshop, we explore how Yin Yoga and mindfulness strengthen interoception, listening to inner signals, so we can respond more skillfully to daily challenges.
· Nervous system: stress response and relaxation response.
· Regulation: what helps you recover faster after activation.
-CONTENT OF THE WORKSHOP-
We take a closer look at the ongoing communication between our connective tissue and the nervous system and how longer-held, supported poses can influence our stress-response cycle.
· How stress response is activated—and what supports settling into rest.
· Practical tools for regulation: sensing, listening and breath awareness.
· Building body awareness through interoception and proprioception.
-FOR WHOM IS THIS WORKSHOP-
This workshop is ideal if you want to understand the working of the nervous system and stress regulation through Yin Yoga. Whether you are a dedicated student or just started practicing Yin Yoga, this workshop is suitable for every body.
-WHAT YOU WILL LEARN-
· How the nervous system shifts between activation (stress response) and settling (relaxation response).
· How to practice Yin in a way that supports regulation.
· How to refine interoception and proprioception to improve body awareness.
-KEY TAKE AWAYS-
· A clearer understanding of how Yin Yoga can support regulation through our fascia, breath and mindful attention.
· A practical bridge between nervous-system theory and the way you practice Yin on the mat.
The workshop includes a Yin Yoga class, theory and the link between theory and the poses. You will receive a handout to take home.
- ABOUT THE TEACHER-
“Hi, my name is Eva and my passion is to introduce as many people as possible to all the good that yoga can bring.
Yoga and meditation came on my path when I went out into the world after my studies. In India I did my first yoga pose and after that, yoga never left my life again. After many years of traveling, I returned to the Netherlands and worked in the business world for many years. At the same time, my yoga practice and my curiosity about the whole philosophy and theory of yoga deepened enormously. Yoga has been a part of my life for 20 years now and has a great influence on how I feel and live.
I have studied many forms of yoga and have arrived at my great loves: Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation. Besides this I’m also a dedicated practitioner of Vinyasa yoga. I have been practicing, teaching and training for years now and have owned a yoga studio as well.
I am fascinated by the connection of body and mind and the interaction between them. My approach is modern, light, positive and based on the latest scientific research. I feel the learning never stops!
My passion is to introduce people to all the benefits that yoga, mindfulness and meditation bring. To experience that regular practice brings lasting change for the good, both at a personal level as well in connection with the world around us.
My classes and trainings are a place where you are invited to work on the health of your body and mind through yoga.
I look forward to meeting you!”
