About this event
Color is one of the most powerful tools when creating a piece of art in any medium. Color not only conveys feelings and emotions, but also passes inconspicuous messages to the viewer. Color Theory in Practice Workshop Series is an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of color and color mixing with acrylic paint.
The Color Theory class is designed for the amateur artist who needs to solidify the basic, fundamental elements and structures of color knowledge, or the active artist who needs a refresher. In order to gain this knowledge, the attendee will apply the information given in class through small projects completed during class hours using acrylic paint. The goal is to enhance the student’s ability on how to mix colors of paint for the projects. This will help the students achieve a strong visual balance and convey meaningful messages to the viewers of their works, ultimately creating a successful painting in their future practice!
