This will be our first fundraiser for Resgate Cultural of Gainesville. We will have one workshop: Maculele.
We will focus on learning the songs, choreography, and drum beats surrounding Maculele. If you have a drum and/or sticks you would like to train with, bring them. Please make sure it is marked with your name on it. Also bring a folding chair with your name marked on it so we all can sit together outside, and comfy shoes.
After the workshop, we will settle down to the movie, Only The Strong, THE movie that exposed most of us growing up in the 90s to Capoeira.
This event is open to the public and to all ages and skill levels.
