About this Event
Please note that if you are in crisis this workshop will not be suitable for you.
What are dreams? The answer from science is that sleep has several phases of activity that recurs periodically in Rapid Eye Movement (REM). This is when the eyes dart about under the eyelids and the respiratory rate changes. Science offers no satisfactory far less a consensus assessment of the dream’s function. But what of the art of dreaming? If we spend a third of our life in sleep and a quarter of sleep in dreaming, we might do well to come up with our own answers, from experience. If you feel stuck in your life or your work, dreams can mainline the cause and the solution from your unconscious. You will learn your own dream symbols and images and gain insight into your inner life.
About the Facilitator - Christine Meek
Christine trained with Dr Diana Bates at Wellspring 38 years ago in a Jungian/humanistic approach. Dreamwork was an integral part of this training. She did a further two years’ work in a Jungian dream group and continues to use dreamwork daily in her practice and in her own life. She is particularly interested currently in changes in dreams during Lockdown.

Who is it for?
Therapists and anyone interested in learning from their dreams.
Why should you attend?
To gain a more in-depth understanding of self and others, which may lead to changes that will enhance relational ways of being.
Sometimes when a client is stuck, both the client and the therapist can feel helpless and de-skilled, respectively. Dreamwork is a mostly gentle, unthreatening way to invite movement.
For a therapist, working with their own dreams creates a deep and intimate relationship with their psyche which can, in turn, deepen the relationship with the client.
