Working with Clients with Intellectual or Development Disabilities

Focuses on equipping mental health professionals with the ethical competencies required to navigate challenging scenarios. The session will address critical ethical considerations in mental and behavioral health, with an emphasis on populations facing unique systemic and personal challenges, including military and veteran communities, individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) or neurodivergence, and clients experiencing low socioeconomic status or poverty. Attendees will explore practical strategies to uphold ethical standards while providing culturally responsive and inclusive care to these diverse groups.
