Working with clients who have experienced domestic abuse
Saturday July 11th 2026 10.00am – 4.00pm
This day will offer an opportunity for you to deepen your understanding of working with clients who have experienced domestic abuse, extend your skills in this area and share good practice with others.
The training will include:
· Updating our knowledge of domestic abuse patterns
· Identifying possible stages of work and developing practical guidelines
· Considering safeguarding and legal requirements
· Exploring how theoretical frameworks can help us understand what’s happening for the client
· Understanding how we can support the client to break the cycle of domestic abuse
· Maintaining our own resilience as we do this work
The trainer:
Beth Livingston is a UKCP Registered Integrative Humanistic Psychotherapist and Supervisor. She has a private practice in Somerset, working with clients and supervisees in a traditional setting as well as offering Ecopsychotherapy sessions outdoors.
