The workplace is a hostile environment for Black communities. How can we address anti-Black racism in the workplace?
About this Event

In 2020, TAIBU Community Health Centre received funding from the Ministry of Canadian Heritage to develop the Working While Black documentary©. The documentary was developed to document the challenges and barriers many members of the Black communities face in the workplace with two objectives in mind:

1. Raise the awareness of the challenges being experienced working while black, and

2. Use the documentary as an engagement and training tool to bring about change in the work place.

One of the project’s deliverables is to host screening events in 5 of the cities where the documentary was filmed. We are hosting the screening in Halifax on June 30th from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm at the Meridian Hall, O’Keefe Lounge, 1 Front Street East, Toronto, M5E 1B2 . We have planned additional time for conversation and discussion after the screening for further feedback as well a space to receive suggestions for a call to action.

We look forward to seeing you on June 30th. Please bring your Eventbrite registration information for admission.
