About this Event

Every wine you've ever had started as a grape in a farm, yet many wine consumers forget that wine is an agricultural product with an entire labor force working the vines. The ugly truth is that, just like any other agricultural industry, the exploitation of communities to fill seasonal manual labor positions is common in the wine industry. Our Wine Director, Erin Dudley, considers this the most important issue when deciding which wineries to support, and she has found some incredible winemakers and grape growers who strive to put labor rights at the top of their priority list when making beautiful world-class wines. Let's show them some support this Labor Day weekend!

Join us for a casual seated wine class with Erin Dudley, where we will discuss the hurdles and difficulties in responsible labor in the wine industry while sipping six wines made by winemakers doing their best to ensure equitable labor at Planet Wine!

Included with your ticket:

  • Seated wine class with with Wine Director, Erin Dudley, CSW
  • Tasting of six fine wines
  • Small serving of artisanal cheese to accompany your tasting
  • Discounts on bottle purchases of all wines tasted
