All communities are experiencing shortages of housing for their workforce. This housing crisis is perhaps most critical in our mountain communities, where real estate price escalation, conversion to short term rentals, and remote workers have increased the demand on limited housing supplies.
The Town of Breckenridge has one of the more aggressive workforce housing programs in the mountains with over 1,200 deed-restricted properties and plans for many more under way.
