Workers and AI

This workshop will be an opportunity to consider the actual and potential impacts of AI on workers from a rank & file union perspective.
About this Event

This workshop will be an opportunity to consider the actual and potential impacts of AI on workers. As facilitator, I will draw on what I have learned and experienced chairing a committee of rank and file members of my union for the past year.
Our group has been tasked with understanding, educating members about, and responding to the proposed and potential future adoption of AI in our specific workplace. (Trust me, it’s a place you know, probably visit, and may have an opinion about AI use in!) There will be opportunities to share your experiences too.
Note: AI was not used in the writing of this blurb and I attempted to avoid it in the creation of the promotional materials and workshop, but it’s very hard to guarantee it wasn’t integrated into any of the tools we used to promote the event.
