Wordspace is a monthly open mic run by Leeds Trinity University @LTUEnglish. There is always a guest speaker as well as open mic. Bring your writing (in any form).
Dr Steve Nash is a writer, lecturer, and musician, born in Yorkshire but raised on army barracks across the UK and Europe. A widely and internationally published poet, in 2014 Steve won the Saboteur Award for ‘Best Spoken Word Performer’ from a shortlist that included Kae Tempest and Hollie McNish.
Steve’s previous collection Myth Gatherers won the ‘Not the Forward Prize’ for Best Poetry Collection, and his new collection, Nearly Man was published in April this year. His first novel, Remington Platypus will be released in 2025.
Rumours persist that Steve may be a vampire and his lack of a working reflection have done little to allay those fears.
