At this special edition of Words with Nerds during the Wisconsin Science Festival we present three fascinating talks by touring comedians and local experts.

Artist and visual communications instructor Emmalee Pearson brings us into the world of practical effects and sculptural storytelling.

Cavin Eggleston comedian and creator of the live RPG comedy show "Tales of Viscous Mockery" presents "The Devil and D&D" a history of the satanic panic surrounding table top roleplaying games.

Crucible co-owner Dr. Greg Kveberg PhD relays a cautionary tale regarding his specialty Russian history: "The Rise of Putin (Which Is Actually about Us)".

Hosted by data scientist-turned stand-up comedian Sasha Rosser the 2025 winner of Madison's Funniest Comic Competition at Comedy on State.

Seating is first come first served. It is suggested that you arrive at the venue when doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime in order to get your pick of seats.

Recommended for ages 18+. Per venue rules attendees under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will be asked to show a photo ID upon check-in.
