Leave the real world behind and enter the world of Pupilla, the largest city on a planet inhabited by puppets!
The citizens of Pupilla might not know what a ‘human’ or a ‘puppet’ is, but they do know this – there is magic to be found in the bonds shared between strangers and their even stranger city. Music, prose, and moving image bring this whimsical, wonderful world to life in a storytelling performance that will enchant and delight.
Puppet show meets visual installation in a gripping piece about finding humanity in a world without humans, from one of Ireland’s most creative and forward-thinking creatives, Dafe Pessu Orugbo.
Dafe Orugbo is a multidisciplinary artist with a dynamic artistic practice coupled with years of industry experience. He is particularly interested in art that centres the audience experience. Dafe has achieved international acclaim as one half of hip-hop duo Tebi Rex, releasing two albums and touring Ireland, UK and Europe. He writes on topics ranging from modern-day Ireland to Greek mythology and is an experienced public speaker, live performer, writer, spoken word artist and podcaster.
