The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow and the Eureka Springs Carnegie Library are pleased to present “Words from the Garden,” an alfresco reading series every Wednesday at 4:30 pm in the Eureka Springs Carnegie Library Garden at 188 Spring Street (south of the Carnegie Library Gardens Building). The series will begin on Wednesday, June 16, and will run through the summer. “Words from the Garden” is free and open to all. In the event of rain, the readings will be held in the library garden under the tent.
The first reading on Wednesday, June 16, will feature the poetry of Caryn Mirriam Goldberg, Ph.D., the 2009-13 Kansas Poet Laureate, and author of 24 books, including How Time Moves: New & Selected Poems, released in October 2020; Miriam's Well, a novel; Needle in the Bone, a non-fiction book on the Holocaust; and The Sky Begins At Your Feet, a bioregional memoir on cancer and community. Founder of Transformative Language Arts, Mirriam-Goldberg leads writing workshops, coaches people on writing and right livelihood through the arts, and consults with organizations and businesses on creativity resilience.
